The Ancient-Primitive collection is inspired by humanity's oldest instinct for adornment. The raw, powerful, and direct aesthetic of ancient and early cultures formed the starting point for this collection.
By examining archaic forms, surface textures, and symbolic expressions that emerged in different periods of history, this aesthetic language was reinterpreted with a contemporary understanding of jewelry making. Surfaces that convey character were preferred over perfection, and forms that bear traces of naturalness were chosen instead of symmetrical arrangements.
The resulting pieces are designs that reference humanity's oldest tradition of ornamentation, but are produced using modern craftsmanship techniques.
