The domed volume rising at the top and the layered surface flowing downwards transform the traditional fabric wrapping into a sculptural form.
The structure of the ring re-establishes the relationship between dome and supporting band in architecture on a small scale. While a historical silhouette is preserved, the surface language is kept modern and minimalist.
This piece, handcrafted in the workshop, transforms a symbolic form from the past into a contemporary design object.
